Sentimental jewellery stolen in Cliffe burglary

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred in Cliffe.

It happened on Main Street at 5.30pm on Friday 11 October when entry was forced into a rear door of the house.

A number of items of distinctive jewellery (pictured) were stolen from within the property which hold a great deal of value to the victims including:

  • An engagement ring belonging to one of the victims
  • 2 x engagement rings belonging to the deceased mother of one of the victims
  • A gold locket
  • Two gold rings
  • An earring

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information which could help us to locate the whereabouts of the stolen items and would like to speak to anyone who has seen it or been offered it for sale anywhere.

We would also like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help us to identify the person or people who carried out the burglary or has any information about any suspicious people of vehicles in the area of Main Street, Cliffe at this time?
