Suspected street racing – Otley Road, Harrogate

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an incident of dangerous driving/street racing that occurred in Harrogate.

It happened on Otley Road at around 9.30pm on Friday 29 April 2016 and involved two vehicles – a small black Volkswagen and a grey BMW. Both vehicles were driving dangerously, heading out of Harrogate towards Beckwithshaw, using both sides of the road and overtaking one-another at speed.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for eye-witnesses, and information about the vehicles; in particular registration numbers and driver/passenger descriptions.
