Posted on in News stories

Emergency services have been dealing with a single-vehicle collision on the north-bound A19 near Mount Grace Priory in the Hambleton District.

It occurred at around 12.50pm on Saturday (18 January 2020) and involved a blue Vauxhall Adam which came off the road and crashed into trees.

Paramedics treated the occupants, a man and a woman, at the scene. An air ambulance was called to assist which required both north and southbound carriageways to be closed for a short period of time.

The man and woman were taken by land ambulance to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. Their injuries are described as none life-threatening.

The Highways Agency managed diversions and the north-bound carriageway was fully open by 3.50pm.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room. Please quote reference number 12200009989.
