Who set fire to the litter bin?

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an incident of arson that occurred at Bewerley recreation ground, just outside Pateley Bridge. A litter bin was set alight and completely destroyed.

The incident ocurred near the entrance to the recreation ground at the side of Pateley Bridge youth shelter near to the bridge over the River Nidd.

It happended overnight between Saturday 7 Febraury 2015 and Sunday February 2015.

There are scorch marks up the side of the youth shelter which indicate the fire was quite large.

We are conducting enquiries and requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about who was responsible for the fire.
