Witness appeal following attempted burglary in Stokesley

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted burglary that occurred in Stokesley.

At 2.10pm on Wednesday 2 November 2016 a man entered a house on North Road in Stokesley via an unlocked door. The owner of the property challenged the man, who stated that he was looking for his cat before fleeing from the address.

Police are conducting enquiries and are requesting the publics assistance to help identify this male. He is described as a white male, 5’7″-5’9″ tall, muscular build, aged in his late 30’s early 40’s. He has dark cropped hair that is balding on top and was wearing a dark coloured jumper and dark coloured trousers.
