Can you help officers investigating a collision in York??

North Yorkshire police is appealing for witnesses following a collision in York.

North Yorkshire police is appealing for witnesses following a collision in York.

The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Sunday, 10 June on Shipton Road near the junction of Southolme Drive. A blue Ford Fiesta and a black Vauxhall Astra were involved.

The driver and passenger from the Vauxhall and the passenger from the Fiesta were taken by ambulance to York District Hospital with suspected minor injuries.

The road was closed for around one hour while an investigation was carried out.

Officers are keen to speak with the driver of a red car, possibly a Seat which was seen driving along Shipton Road towards York prior to the collision. If you believe that is you or if you think you may have seen this car, please contact officers with information.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, the events surrounding it or the manner of driving of either vehicle is asked to contact officers with information.
