Witnesses sought following incident on the Stray

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an incident that occurred on the West Park Stray, Harrogate on Saturday 8 August 2015.

The incident happened on West Park Stray opposite the Coach and Horses public house around 4.15pm on Saturday 8th August 2015 whereby a lone female dog walker has been verbally abused, threatened and pushed by a male twice within a 5-10 minute period. On both occasions members of the public have intervened to assist the female by guiding the male away.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to identify the man and establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the male involved in this incident and the members of public who stepped in to assist the female.
