York: John Lewis food mixer theft CCTV appeal

Posted on in News stories

York Police have released a CCTV image of a man in connection with theft of a £600 Bosch food mixer from John Lewis.

He entered the store based at the Vangarde Centre, Huntington, on 15 February 2018 between 9am and 6pm.

He went to the customer services counter and claimed he had already paid for the item the previous day. He placed a handwritten “paid for” sticker on the box.

When the staff member goes to check if that was the case, the man picked up the item from the shelf and left the store without offering any payment.

Despite extensive police enquiries, the man has not yet been identified.
